Cheers to a new place to enjoy pork-free, quality dim sum!

Alu-Alu Kitchen is well known for serving organic, chemical free and farm to table concept dishes to their patrons. They are now serving a wide variety of delicious dim sum, how awesome is that! (:

Dim Sums are served daily (including public holidays) from 7:00am to 2:00pm. Do note that this restaurant serves no pork.

Now let's introduce some of their Dim Sums:
Fried Radish Cake with Sambal Sauce - RM 7.00
Deep Fried Crispy Dumpling with Prawn - RM 8.50
I personally doesn't really enjoyed eating Fried Radish Cake with Sambal Sauce but this was so good - the texture was soft and full of flavour, fried alongside with egg and plump, crunchy beansprouts!  The Deep Fried Crispy Dumpling with Prawn has a very crispy outer layer with fresh crunchy prawns on the inside.
Deep Fried Cheese Spring Roll with Mushroom - RM8.50
Steamed Chicken Glutinous Rice @ Lo Mai Kai - RM 5.00
The Deep Fried Cheese Spring Roll with Mushroom is one of my favourites! The mixture of the cheese and mushroom goes very well alongside with the crispy spring roll skin. If you are lucky, you will get to stretch the cheese inside the spring roll while breaking into half.  I had a small bite of the Lo Mai Kai as my stomach doesn't digest glutinous rice / flour based dishes well, you can tasted the dried shrimps well infused into the rice that you might want another plate! I forgot to snap a picture of the Deep Fried Yam Puff @ Wu Kok (RM 6.50) - The crispy outer layer of the yam puff goes so well together with the BBQ Chicken filling.
Steamed Siew Mai - RM 5.50
Steamed Parsley Dumpling @ Chee Mai - RM 5.50
Steamed Chicken Feet @ Kai Kiok - RM 4.50
Here's some classic favourites from the Dim Sum cart.  The Steamed Siew Mai is made from chicken meat and prawns while the Steamed Parsley Dumpling @ Chee Mai also made from the same ingredients with additional chopped parlsey in it. Every bite you take, you can tasted the crunchy prawns in them. The Steamed Chicken Feet, also known as 'Kai Kiok' is one of my favourites as I myself is an ultimate chicken feet lover. The sweetish sauce with a slight hint of spiciness goes so well with the chicken feet that I didn't realized that made a little mountain of the feet bones in my plate.
Steamed Chicken with Black Bean Sauce - RM 5.00
Steamed Emerald Dumpling @ Fei Chooi Mai - RM 5.50
Steamed Crystal Prawn Dumpling @ Har Kaw - RM 8.50
Soup Dumplings @ Xiao Loong Bao - RM 8.50
While most Dim Sum restaurants served steamed spare ribs in black bean sauce (for both pork/beef spare ribs), Alu-Alu served Steamed Chicken with Black Bean Sauce. I personally found it a bit salty although it is very flavourful. The Fei Chooi Mai is a simple kind of steamed dumplings with chicken and crunchy vegetables filling.  The Crystal Prawn Dumpling @ Har Kaw was one of the best I had eaten, as many Dim Sum restaurants' Har Kaw the prawn filling is not fresh very mushy. The Soup Dumplings are so fun too eat! Just like the usual soup dumplings, bite a tiny hole of the outer layer skin and drink the soup first then eat the dumpling alongside with the ginger vinegar dip.

Here are some more Dim Sums that I didn't get to try but looking at the contented faces of my fellow foodie friends' face, they must fair well too.
Steamed Fish Ball - RM 6.00
Fish Maw Dumplings - RM 7.50
Steamed BBQ Chicken Pau - RM 6.00
I'm not done yet guys! (: You can't end your dim sum feast without some sweets.
Egg Tarts - RM 6.00
Steamed Salted Egg Custard Bun @ Lau Sa Pau - RM 6.00
The Egg Tarts are just like any other egg tarts served in Dim Sum Restaurants or Coffeeshops - you simple can't go wrong with egg tarts. (:  The Lau Sa Pau is so good I had seconds. Fluffy pau with the salted egg custard oozing out into your mouth. Sooo Goood!
Look at that amazing filling oozing out ♡

There were times when some of us are craving for some local rice / noodle dishes and a cup of hot chocolate or latte at the same time, if its not then it is just me lol. Its hard to find cafe that serves such combination in KK City, and gladly the owners behind Le Caffe & Salato came up with such concept and I am so excited to try this place out!

Loving this cozy and chic
Here are some of the dishes / beverages we had:

Salato's special blend of minced chicken meat and vegetables, deep fried.  This is an interesting version of chicken nuggets compared to those served at fast food joints - by the looks of it, it doesn't look like chicken nuggets at all but they were so great that it became Fay's ultimate favourite! Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside.

This is one of my favourite - Just like the name of the dish, its very flavourful, very crispy on the outside and very tender and juicy on the inside that I actually tapau another set home for my family to their and they give big thumbs up too!

If you are a prawn lover, you will definitely loved this pasta dish. Tagliatelle pasta boiled in prawn infused water, served with fresh tiger prawns and buttermilk sauce. I had a mind blown moment when chewing the pasta noodles as you can taste the prawn in it. Thumbs up to the chef!

Simple yet flavourful plate of fried noodles with lots of 'wok hei' - choice of chicken luncheon meat (RM 10.80) or seafood (RM 11.80).

Crispy Chicken Chop with Tangy Lemon Sauce served with Fried Rice. I would love it if they gave more lemon sauce to go with the fried rice. Yum Yum!

I loved this! They made their own Thai style sauce from scratch instead of using those commercialized bottle Thai Sauce like most restaurants do. I enjoyed dipping their homemade chicken nuggets with this sauce as it goes well with it - maybe next time I should request a plate of the sauce whenever I ordered the chicken nuggets.

Classic Nasi Lemak with the basic accompaniments with a choice of fried chicken thigh meat (RM 14.80) or Chicken Luncheon Meat (RM 11.80). The sambal was great that it goes so well with the rice.

This might looked like a normal plate of fried mee hoon with crab but I assured this plate of mee hoon is full of crab flavour and you wouldn't stop eating this! Very good 'wok hei' taste and the meehoon is full of crab flavour that makes you wonder what magic that the Chef has! This dish is available only on Weekends and do enquire the cashier for the price as it is seasonal.

I think I'm too hungry and thought that I had snapped the other dishes but I didn't *cries*. Their other notable dishes are SALATO CLAYPOT FRAGRANT LOH SHU FUN (RM 9.80) and SALATO FISH HEAD MEEHOON SOUP (RM 14.80). I planning to come back to try their Wa Tan Ho which I spotted on the menu. Yums!

As I mentioned earlier in this post, they served Uji Matcha Latte, Hot Chocolate and other hot beverages such as Mocha and Chai Latte. Caffeine Drinks availabled in cold version too. Not forgetting is their Signature Passionfruit Juice which is seasonal and you can choose between Ice Blended or Juice version. (:

This is my favourite drink in Salato! Fresh Pandan Coconut Juice served cold is always the best. They took the time to remove the hair shell and smooth the outer shell to make it looked very presentable.

Le Caffe & Salato opens from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm, Tuesday to Sunday (Closes every Monday). Do check them out at Karamunsing Capital when you are nearby looking for a place to have brunch or lunch.

The newly opened Ibis Styles Hotel located at Inanam presents "Selera Malaysia" Ramadhan Buffet with Adabi Malaysia, starting from 18th May until 14th June 2018.

Before I start feasting everyone's eyes with the glorious buffet spread below, can we just appreciate the interior design of this hotel? So minimalist yet so chic looking! I wanted to look for the person who came out with the design! D:

Let's kick start of the buffet spread with the Appetizer Section - The star dish not to be missed would be the Kerabu Jantung Pisang. There is Fruit Rojak and Ulam-Ulaman spread as well as Garden Salad spread alongside with variety of condiments.

Here comes the main entrees - Be spoiled with variety of choices such as Nasi Biryani, Spicy Tomato Chicken (also known as Ayam Masak Merah), Assam Pedas Ikan, Ketam Masak Rempah, Rendang Daging and many many more. Not be missed is also their Tom Yum Soup and Laksa - which you can cook your own choice of noodles, add in the condiments and pour in the steamy hot soup over.

It is not a Ramadhan Buffet without Satay! Yes, they also offered outdoor grill selection of meats such as Chicken and Beef Satay, Sotong Sumbat Percik and many more. Hands down that they served some of the bestest satays in town! I only wished they had a bigger bowl for their peanut sauce.

Don't forget to end your meal with desserts! Selections of cakes, Malay kuihs, assorted fruit slices etc etc for you to choose from. There are honey dates and assorted cookies as well!
